Completion of the Second Decade
Completion of the second decade. Our exemplary Funeral Home creates a significant positive impact abroad and becomes the subject of visit and study by many industry entrepreneurs from all over Europe.
The World Organization of Funeral Homes and the English and German Federations accept our company as a Member, allowing for the deepening and improvement of the company’s expertise. Fannis Baboulas and his actions are recognized abroad, and at the same time, the country receives commendatory comments for the work being done in this particular sector.
2000
Creation of the 1st Website
Creation of the 1st Funeral Home website in Greece (www.baboulas.gr), which receives the Best Web Page award from “Europages” within 2 years. A particularly significant distinction for the enterprise and the country.
2001
Repatriation Department
Implementation of a specialized Repatriation Department for the proper and professional support of the Greek diaspora. The network of partners is expanded with Funeral Homes abroad.
Creation and pioneering application in Greece of the first Pre-Arrangement Ceremony. A catalog of essential questions concerning the Pre-Planning of each Ceremony, so that loved ones are not burdened at the time of the inevitable event.
2004
Live Coverage of the Ceremony
Implementation of live coverage of the Ceremony via the internet, to facilitate relatives living in other countries.
Completion of the third decade. Entry of the son, Vasilis Baboulas, into the business. The next generation is present, continuing the work with the same consistency, seriousness, and prestige, while also adding its vision for further organization and development of the Brand.

2015
Infrastructure development and support for the Funeral Homes Network
The personnel of the company, after special training, receive Certification from leading British embalmers.
Collaboration with the oldest development consulting firm in Greece (“FC&D The Development Experts”) for the design of the Franchise System and the creation of infrastructure for the development and support of the Funeral Homes Network. The company’s headquarters serves as the metropolitan center of the chain and serves all members of the Network, providing valuable support and substantial assistance – guidance to new partners.
Established on Stelios Kazantzidis Street 42, the new state-of-the-art Funeral Home “GAIA – Fanis Baboulas and Son” is founded, a space that is a gem by Greek standards and provides the opportunity for the business to boost its momentum.
2016
Completion of the fourth decade
With the completion of our fourth decade, our company proceeds with a complete upgrade of the corporate fleet.
2017
First "Unboxing" by a Funeral Home in the world
Ethymios Savvakis takes over the communication policy and digital content of the Funeral Home, reforming the company’s social media and implementing the first outward-oriented projects.
The company creates the first “Unboxing” by a Funeral Home in the world and supports 10 national foundations through a viral project.
2018
Change in the communication landscape in the Funeral Homes sector
The company’s social media campaigns are going viral on the Greek internet and are featured in top media outlets.
The company collaborates, at an extroverted level, with top cultural, social, and sports “cells” in every corner of the country, changing what we knew in the funeral homes communication field.
2019
Subject of study for Bachelor's and Diplomatic Theses
The company’s communication policy and social media become the subject of study for Bachelor’s and Diplomatic Theses both domestically and abroad, taking the stage at TEDx, while the new digital era of “Fani Baboula and Son” is presented at top Universities, Conferences, and Marketing Seminars.
The company becomes the first Funeral Home in the history of domestic advertising to be a finalist in the “ERMIS” National Advertising Awards, continuing to invest in content, unique services, and pioneering projects.
2020
The second Franchise store of the business is inaugurated in Oreokastro, Thessaloniki. The company now reaches 6 stores in the city.
Our company is preparing to establish its first stores in Attica, aiming to create a Network that will bring the necessary respect to the funeral services sector throughout Greece.
2021
A) The headquarters of our Network is established in Attica, in the heart of Athens. With a modern store at 37 Akadimias Street, our company is now able to provide all the services that have distinguished us in the funeral services sector for half a century.
B) Our participation in the international Franchising exhibition is successfully concluded. Dozens of requests from people who want to share our vision are expected to be examined and lead us to new partnerships.
2022
For the first time in history, a Blood Donation Association is established by a Funeral Home. At the first open blood donors gathering at our store on Akadimias Street, several bottles of blood are collected, which will be donated to fellow citizens in need. It’s a fact, a Funeral Home becomes a life-giving entity.
2023
Our company inaugurates the second store of its Network in Attica. Just a few meters away from the Zografou Cemetery, at 99 G. Kousidi Street.

The renovation of our store in the Municipality of Kalamaria is a fact. After 8 consecutive years of presence, the time has come to present our new store at 5 Metamorfoseos Street.
